Sword Board Contest

Looks like the guys over at NHS are putting their money where their mouth is. Somebody in some board meeting must have said, "How can we sell a sword Board, that is pretty much un-usable"? Answer: Put a best trick contest behind it and offer up prize money. Done and Done. So if anyone wants one of these, let me know. I will gladly order you one. If anything, you can use the trucks and wheels on any other deck you might want to cruise around on. Hell, you might LOVE the sword board. Anything is possible.

New Santa Cruz Wood

Some new wood arrived from Santa Cruz this week. These 2 were the highlight of the package. The Roskopp eyes are super rad. I also can't seem to get enough of the screaming hand. It sold back in the day, and It will sell today!

Giro Ember 2010 Product Review

Kathleen wanted a cool new helmet that was super comfortable, and matched all of her outfits. We got her next years Giro Ember ladies helmet. It's the same as the world famous G9, just with some special features that make it a ladies model; IE - fuzzy ears that make it very warm.
Kath loved the fact that she could pop the vent covers out to make it cooler. It also has a dial on the back to make it fit perfectly on the head.
Giro also sent her the matching Eleanor goggle to test. Spherical mirrored lens helped her see the whole mountain with no problems. Giro goggles are fast becoming a staple in most shops, as they fit with all of the helmets well, and are super stylish.
One of the changes we will see going forward with giro, is the tune ups kits will not be full ear pieces anymore. The newer ear pieces will have slots that can accept a skull candy branded speaker system that slides right in. Less waste is involved with this new system, and it's even easier to install.

Day 3 in Stowe VT

Another fine day in beautiful stowe vermont. They got 5 inches of new snow at the top of the mountain, and the skiing was the best it's been yet. There is really no one on the mountain. Kath and I are skiing runs with no one else around us. The gondola is a fast ride and when you get off, there is no one around.

The kids ski school up here is absolutely amazing. The boys had never done whole day ski school before and we weren't sure if it would work. But the instructors are great and they totally enjoy what they are doing. Both kids have improved light years from the first day we came. They both took us down a pretty good blue run yesterday.
Day 4 is looking amazing. It snowed all night and we have awoken with an inch outside our window, which probably means 6-10 inches at the mountain. Looking forward to our last great day. I might have to put on sunscreen today.. naaah

Spring Break at Stowe

Well, we made the 11 hour trek to beautiful Vermont. Only 14 times did I say, "You want me to come back there and break you 2 up?" That's pretty much a record I think. But it was all worth it. It's great up here and there is a little snow still left.

Kath is rocking some of next seasons Rossi gear. On her face, she has next year's Scott ladies goggles. It started off as a nice morning, but soon the rains came.

The 2 kids started ski school with Stowes amazing kids program. It was extremely well run, and it gave Kath and I a chance to have some ski time by ourselves. The kids loved it, and we saw huge improvement after just one day.

I can only imagine how great this mountain is with full coverage in the earlier months. Even though there is not much snow, the mountain is doing all it can to make everyones trip enjoyable. The kids give it high marks, which is really all that matters.
