K2 Kung Fujas Test results 2010

I have now skied these boards on three different days, in three very different conditions, and I only have one thing to say. these skis are SICK. There is nothing they cannot do. Groomers they slay... Powder they float, and everything in between is money too. Today in the pow, I moved the binders back with my trusty 686 tool belt and floated effortlessly through the trees. Thank you K2 for making a ski that is so versatile and so much fun. Do not sleep on these. They are absolutely ridiculous. Nuff said

The "686" Crew in Utah

So here's the quick shot of the family all rocking 686. Brandons instructor looked at us and said, "You guys must really like that brand." Product review- BL 16 oz and Neff beanies

Never let it be said that I am a beer snob. I tested out the good old American BL in a smooth 16oz can after a great day of skiing. I must say it was super enjoyable. It was cold, smooth and just what the body needed after tearing down runs at breakneck speed all day.
I also threw on this sweet Neff beanie. I can't walk around with helmet head now can I? So in this review I have to give 4 stars to each of these fine products. I am proud to say you will be able to find this fine Neff product at Alpine Next season. The BL's you ask? Check your fridge.

686 2011 Test run with Kathleen

Yep, we are out here at the canyons in Park City, and it couldn't be any nicer. Kathleen is wearing next seasons 686 ladies and it looks rad. The green plaid reserved pants have plenty of vents for the warmer days, and its plenty waterproof at 10,000mm . The matching jacket is also 10,000 mm and is fleece lined in the back and the hood for added warmth. 686 is alpine's #1 line for a reason. The stuff looks great on and off the hill, and it's loaded with features. More product tests to follow.

Convoy reup and a visit from eamonn

New wood is in stock from everyone's local skate company, Convoy Skateboards. These decks were personally delivered today by new dad Eamonn Bourke. Below you will see that alpine is bringing back the $99 complete. Yes it's true. Coming with phantom trucks, fkd bearings, and convoy wheels. Set up of the minute

Happiness is turning nine and getting to pick out your very first skateboard. This lucky guy chose a sweet Santa Cruz Strubacca deck, and put on thunder Cole trucks, and spitfire wheels. He is going to be the envy of every kid in the neighborhood. So, happy birthday and enjoy the set up.

This skate has been out for a while. We just got in a size run of this great model. It looks a lot like the skate we made in house last season with the cult boot shell. Anyways, this is a great model and comes with feather lite frames, and fits great. Stop in and try a pair on.

Set up of the minute with Doug

Doug came in to find some new skates for the summer. He ended up with the new Haffey skate from remz. We added white soul plates and Broskows new blue featherlight frames to make this skate stand out from the others. Look for Doug out killing it at your local spot.

Catfood got some new skates

Everyones favorite team rider, Daniel Breuer, stopped in and grabbed a fresh new pair of skates. The Nimh's in orange are rad looking and they are coming with a new, more comfortable liner. Ty is heading out

Doing his best ZZ Top impression, Ty is getting out of Dodge so to speak and heading to beautiful Jackson Hole Wyoming. With his chauffeur, The Josh, Ty will be arriving at 8 pm tonight and be ripping the mountain come 9 in the am. What skis did he bring, you ask? Well, he brought the "PBR" k2's. Liberty Boardercross Winner Claims prize

Daniel came down from Silver spring MD, to claim this sweet deck he won at this years boardercross at Liberty mountain. It was Daniels first boardercross, and he was stoked to come away with this sweet stepchild Chi Borg. He is on his way to Vermont and plans to put this deck to good use. Thanks to everyone who came out to Liberty and we look forward to doing again next season. Also big thanks to Stepchild Snowboards for helping us out with this event.

Say Hello to my little friend

Alas the snow is almost gone. For 2 months we were lucky enough to feel as though we lived out west. With piles on sidewalks and in yards almost gone, we made the last snowman. He sat at the front door for all of an hour and greeted customers with a cheery hello.
Now that was one hell of a winter. Still plenty of snow in the mountains, you may just have to travel further than usual to find it. So get out there snow searchers and squeeze what you can out of these remaining cold months.

Set up of the minute with Sam

End of season deals are here. Sam, who has been coming to us since he was 8, stopped in to pick up a new deck. There isn't much left, but he found a Burton Hero he liked and added some sweet mission binders to the set up. The hero has everyone's favorite V rocker technology and is great both in the park and free riding. Enjoy the ride Sam!

The snowshoe demo

So the Alpine crew rolled into snowshoe for 2 days of great riding and 2 days of partying. It was a long season, so this demo couldn't have come at a better time. Snowshoe still had tons of snow and the weather couldn't have been nicer. Big thanks go out to cheryl for allowing us to stay at her condos. They were spectacular and right on the hill.

Set up of the minute with Tommy

Tommy turned 18 and all he wanted for his birthday was a snowboard set up. And guess what, his parents hooked him today. He got the ride Yukon in a 164 and put on some Burton Custom binders. This set up looked great and hopefully he will be able to use it this season. Mother nature seems to be done with the cold, so if you are trying to get out, do it quickly as the snow may all be gone in 2 weeks. It was a great run though. Back to the set up, he got some northwave boots with the famous super lace system, so no more tying his laces. Happy birthday from alpine and enjoy the ride.

Dana visits us from our neighbors to the north. Yep, she's a cannuck, and she got a RAD set up today. Her last board was swiped (boooooo), so she needed a new one. So we helped her out with this amazing snowboard set. She got the limited union KFC binders and put them on the gnu b nice with world famous BTX! Her friends are going to be so jealous. Enjoy the ride.

Set up of the minute with Garrett

Garrett was supposed to leave for Utah tomorrow, but his friends all bailed on him. So he decided to come and grab a snowboard instead. And this set up is amazing. He grabbed Gnu Riders Choice with some of our new Burton Cartels in orange. On his feet, he went with the focus Vans aura boot in white. So look for him at any of the local mountains this weekend. It's alright though, because the snow on the east coast is better this year anyway.

Set up of the minute with Erik

Erik has been drooling over these skis ever since he saw them a week ago. So today was the day and he scooped them up. We put the Marker griffon on these and it is an extremely rad set up. Look for Erik to be killing Wintergreen resort this weekend. He may even have a PBR in his hand. These were an extremely limited production from our friends over at K2 skis. Enjoy them Erik!

It's order writing time!

Yep, it's me and my computer and a pile of papers. But don't worry about me. The beer fridge is fully stocked with some Killlians irish red, and I am ready to go. For those of you that don't know, all snow orders are written now for the upcoming season. The items I order today for the shop will be delivered sometime in august (hopefully).
