Wakefield Skateboard Comp Re-cap

Well, it's finally here. The recap of the Skateboard comp we threw on June 6th. Better late than never we always say. The photos you see below are courtesy of diego Valdez. he is a ridiculous skateboard photographer and we are happy that he sends us his shots every once in a while. It was a beautiful day at Wakefield park, and we were super lucky to have Convoy skateboards show up and help out. The intermediate division was set up with 2 individual runs. The top 6 from that group competed head to head in a jam format with Nathaniel Chen coming out in first place. Ryan Treece placed a good second, and everyone had some great runs. This format seemed to work great and everyone was really stoked.

The advanced division was broken up into 3 groups of 6. each group got a 12 minute jam session, and the top 3 from each group made it to the finals. The skating was phenomenal and there were some sick tricks being thrown. The finals had 9 guys going for 6 minutes to pick the winner. Nathan Daily ended up winning the advanced division with some truly clean runs. Local ripper Tyler placed a close second. Alpine would love to thank everyone who came out and made this event fun.
