Wakefield Skatecomp Results

Thanks to everyone who came out to our now annual July skatecomp. The rains came, but only for a little bit. With our crack team of cleaners, the park was dried and readied for the comp to be completed.It was a fun night, and it's always great to see everyone .
The intermediate division was run as a jam session this time, (after many requests), and it worked out great. We had 2 groups of 6, and top 3 from each group went to the finals.
It ended up:

1. Mitchie Shue
2. Zak Fetzner
3. Bryan Shores
4. Ryan Kelly

The advanced division proved toughto judge as hammers were being thrown throughout. 3 groups of 7 wnet for 10 minutes each, with the top 3 from each group making it to the finals.
Then 9 men battled it out to be king of the park. Reigning champ Bear phillips maintained consistency throughout his round to take the win.
It ended up:

1. Bear Phillips
2. David Dinnison
3. Sean Miller
4. Chris Williams

There was one casualty, as Chris Allen aka "Chris Edwards", broke his ankle. He was all over the course flipping,diving,spinning. But his last trick. Soul to front flip ended in disaster. We hope can get a quick recovery.
