New Riedell Vixen Plus roller skates

Alpine just had a skate made for us by the good people over at riedell skates. We took the traditional vixen package with 165 boot and replaced the nylon thrust frame with the new reactor neo plate. So what we have is a solid boot with a great frame for the entry level to advanced skater. The neo frame is much stronger that the nylon model and provides a smoother ride, and quicker transaction of energy from the foot. The 165 boot is a classic and comfortable leather boot with a power strap to help hold in the heel. It's coming complete with demon sonar wheels 62/95a and abec 5 bearings. Full size runs available at both Alpine Locations.

Derby Set up of the minute with Rachel

After being told that she had "what it takes" to be a Derby Girl, Rachel agreed and came in to get geared up for a shot with the DC Rollergirls. After deciding on some Vixen's (as well as getting geared up with pads AND some Funky Knee socks, natch), she's ready to practice and give it all she's got!

Ellen Degenerate, of the DC Rollergirls DC Demoncats fame, needed some new skates to take care of her newly acquired Derby Habit.  After trying on several, and testing them out on the floor, she found that the Antik MG-2's were the ones that were going to take her to the next level.

Lisa did tryouts on a pair of 30$ quads from dicks. Someone loaned her a descent pair and damn if she didn't make the squad. Now she has 12 weeks of "Fresh Meat" camp. So she came all the way from Woodbridge to get herself a pair of real Riedell Skates. Good luck Lisa and let us know what your rink name is when you get it!
