Blizzard Kabookie Skis for 2014

Look what arrived in stock today! The newest Blizzard ski model, the kabookie. It has the same shape as the very popular bonafide, but this model has no metal. Shape is 131 in the shovel-98 underfoot, and 116mm in the tail. The turning radius is 19m.
Blizzard calls the Kabookie a backcountry ski - but we think with it's lightweight no-metal construction, it's a versatile ski in bounds or out. It uses the same Flipcore technology that was so successful in the Cochise and other skis to create a natural rocker profile in the tip and tail while keeping slight camber underfoot. All that adds up to a light, playful ski that surfs powder but still holds an edge in firmer snow. Mount this up with touring bindings or alpine bindings, it's up to you.

Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Carbon 2013

The blizzard Magnum Carbon 8.0 is a versatile all mountain ripper. It is wider than most carving skis, but not as wide as the big mountain powder crunchers. With a wood "flip core", and sidewall construction, this ski can hold an amazing edge on the groomers, but still be extremely playfull in the heavier stuff. Be sure to check these out on your next visit.
Blizzard says... Spaceframe 3D and carbon construction. The Flip Core 3D Rocker design also helps you glide effortlessly over off-piste terrain. The perfect combination of versatility and performance makes this ski the ideal partner in all situations.

Blizzard Magnum 8.7 test

Just by looking at this ski, you know it's a ripper. It's hard to explain, but when you have been around skis your whole life, you can just tell. This ski feels solid and it comes with the great new Marker Binding. I skied this in a 172 and it could no wrong. The bumps were good, the flat out haulin was great, and stability at speeds was amazing. There was really nothing this ski couldn't take on. Blizzard has had a strong resurgence over the past couple years, and I know why. Super solid construction, with great graphics make this a must have for the 2011 season.
No more skiing for me now. This shot was on our last day at deer valley on Friday. Epic day with great snow everywhere. looking forward to another strong season next year.
