Winner, Winner...Chicken Dinner

It was a hard fought battle to the very end of the Winner-Take-All Bracket Challenge (alpinebracketchallenge.com), but Brian was able to eek out the "W" thanks, in part, to a shrewd bit of Final Game Total Score Mastery pick of 115.  With the actual final score totaling 126, Brian was a 4-point play away from not walking out with the Big Prize Pack (Never Summer Assault Longboard, Under Armour fitted hat, Nike Sunglasses, Altamont Sweatshirt, 686 wicking shirt, Giro goggles, Grandoe gloves), but fortunately for him, some tough "D" and missed shots in the final minutes helped to secure his place as a Bracket Challenge Winner!

Chloe and the Never Summer Pandora

Now is the time to twitter your way into some new kicks. On Saturday April 11th. South of the North will reveal on twitter the location of a number golden shoe eggs around the D.C. metro area. Rockville to Reagan national Airport, Bridgespot to Bethesda, Sterling to Springfield. the locations will be revealed one per hour on twitter.com/southofthenorth.

So if you want the free shoes and maybe a few extras follow these steps:

1. Sign up to follow South of the North on twitter
2. That means sign up to follow along here - twitter.com/southofthenorth
3. Check updates starting at 1 pm ET on Saturday April 11th.
4. Get the location of where one pair of shoes will be given away each hour.
5. Get on your skateboard, bike, metro or car and try to be the first one to get the shoes.
6. Find the golden egg either held by yours truly, a friend of South of the North or simply...it might be hidden in plain sight.

Nike Air Mogan Mid 6.0 Premium

Usually I shy away from the 6.0 offerings. They can be found at all the mall stores, and generally the colorways are a little weak. But this mid Premium caught my attention. The sawblades and the wood grain look is pretty fresh. These even comes in a cool black box. The blue stitching on the back matches the back up laces and probably looks pretty good. Nike SB Blazer Premium Vanilla Ice

The Blazer Premium "Vanilla Ice". Part of the Fallen heroes pack and here at Alpine. Sizes 6.5-13 now in stock. This shoe has style written all over it. Old vintage style with SB flare. Style #314070 color 641.

Nike SB Dunk Mocha

This SB Dunk dropped in January of 07. Style 304292 color 229. Dark Mocha/Tweed colorway. Alpine has a full size run of these. The SB dunk, in my opinion, is one of the most comfortable shoes you can buy. This is a great staple color which goes with most anything.

Air Max 90 Leather Red

Nike Air Max 90 Leather. Style # 302519 color 103. The Air max 90 is a great shoe with mad comfort. This colorway goes great with pretty much everything. We know this colorway had been seen a lot of places, but we are suckers for the air max 90. This is shoe is a workhorse, and it's comfort and style is unmatched.

Nike SB Dunk Puff N Stuff

This Nike SB premium Dunk dropped last fall. After some digging in the Nike warehouse, a few pair arrived on Alpines doorstep. Style#313170 color #341, This shoe is dubbed the Puff-n-stuff. If you missed this shoe when it dropped, now is the time to come pick one up. Like fine wine, SB dunks only seem to get higher and higher in price as they age.
