Lib Tech NAS Review

Double black diamonds? Lib Tech Narrow Ass Snowboards? Will the 2 mix? I am here to tell you that they the 2 work perfectly together. I know this is a 2 year old pair of skis, but it has been the first time I have been able to test Mervin's attempt at making skis. I have to give them a huge thumbs up.

After my first 3 runs I was unsure of the skis potential. But I pressed onward and threw them into terrain I was myself unsure of. They handled everything I threw at them and made me feel a little like a rock star. At super high speeds they wavered a little bit, but the carving these skis allowed was simply amazing. If you have a chance to get on Magne traction skis, I say DO IT.

Lib has done a great service to skiers everywhere by allowing them the use of this technology.

PLEASE make more of these skis!

New Plan B 3D Wood

A new series of decks is now out from our friends over at Plan B. It looks like Plan B is following the path of everybody gets a deck in every new series. These are pretty clean graphically and the team is simply amazing. These should be hitting Alpine's wall within the next couple days.

K2 Celena Ladies Skate

The 90mm wheel is here to stay. K2's newest Celena ladies skate comes in the black/gold colorway this year. it is still coming with the pink ribbon as all of the women's models do. K2 is a large supporter of Breast Cancer research and donates money from all of it's ladies products sold to the cause. The fit on this model is like a shoe and it looks amazing. The skate is silky smooth in appearance and in it's roll ability (if that's even a word). coming in at only $199, this skate packs a huge punch.

Rossi J Dub Cake

Some people get to have their cake and eat it too. Here is a great photo of the first ever (that I have seen) Magne traction inspired cake. Kudos to the cake maker. I love me some cake.

Let's Do This DVD

Transworld Skateboarding's latest release is in stock. This is video 19 in the series. Featuring the skating of devine Calloway,Emmanuel Guzman, and Peter Smolik to name a couple.

Lakai Fully Flared

A little behind the curve are we. Finally in stock is Lakai's "Fully Flared" DVD. Featuring the like of Koston,Carroll,Biebel, and Marc Johnson. This is a great DVD to be watching during the upcoming rainy April days we always have.

Santa Cruz Skateboards

Remz 08two Skate

New Remz skate dropped today. The new all white 08 two is in stock and it looks super clean. These are coming stock with the new formula one frames and remz branded wheels. This has always been a great fitting skate and the white colorway is super clean.

Sector 9 Longboards

Spring is fast approaching and with it brings longboard season. Alpine Ski Shop has gotten some early stock with 4 great new Sector 9 completes. Sector 9 makes some amazing longboards and the set-ups on these are incredible.

This is the little brother to the 8.0 (see below). It comes stacked with 90 mm wheels,abec 9 bearings, and a 285mm aluminum frame. You will notice the fiber tech around the heel and the great low cuff. If you are out for cruising or doing some miles on the trail, this is the skate for you. At only $269, this is a great do it all model.

This skate screams "MORE SPEED PLEASE". With the 100 mm wheels, and the extended pro frame, this skate can go long distance with minimal effort. Notice the fibertech shell. It keeps the skate lightweight while providing the strength of metal It also comes equipped with abec 9 bearings, and the fit is great. This skate is on sale at Alpine for $319. Stop in and try it on today. For all you trail skaters, this is a must have. It's always great to start spring off with new wheels for the feet!

Rollerblade Downtown 4

I have always thought this to be a great skate for the price. At only $149 this skate not only looks fresh, it skates great too. The boot is comfortable and it does come flat rockered. It is a little heavy, but that can be attributed to the frame and the extra 4 wheels. The buckle works well on this model and the soul spots are very easy to replace. All sizes available in this model.

Arbor Westmark 08

I know it's March, and yes we are still getting new decks in. We have been sold out of Arbor now for 2 weeks. We needed to get some more in the store. The Westmark is a new deck for Alpine. It's a progressive mid-wide park board. Super clean graphics with a low price tag make this an awesome deck.

Rollerblade Twister 2 Pro Inline Skates

Spring is almost here and skates are starting to arrive here ta Alpine. One of our new favorites is Rollerblades Twister 2 Pro. It is a fully ventilated hardboot in an all matte black color. It bridges the gap between aggressive skates and fitness skates nicely. If you are looking for a skate to do a little of everything, this is it. The Twister comes with all around 76mm wheels, and the frame can accommodate up to an 80mm wheel. This skate will also work well on all terrain and will work well playing street hockey. Ski Day at Liberty

Sometimes you just have to take a snow day. You need to get out to the local mountain with the family and remember why you love this sport so much. Is there anything better than watching your kids navigate down the blue runs all by themselves. And how can you forget how much fun it is to ride a chairlift? In what other sport are you able to sit high above the ground as a chair on a strong rope takes you to the top of the mountain? Liberty Mountain in 60+ degrees was still looking good yesterday. (And the snow was great for snow angels too)
