Nicolas Mueller C3 BTX Directional deck

Gnu has a sick Mid season release. The Nicolas Muller. As Nicolas Muller's first pro model, the Gnu MullAir C3 Snowboard delivers the razor-sharp carving and easy-floating prowess demanded by the Swiss slayer when he's sending methods to the stratosphere and popping pillows with freestyle finesse. Its directional shape features a substantial set-back (2-inches) and slight tapering (4 to 8-millimeters, depending on size) for effortless float in waist-deep powder. The powerful C3-BTX profile is predominately camber, with a subtle "Banana" rocker between the feet. Ultimately, this camber-dominant profile offers the hard-charging response and locked-in edge hold of camber, but without its overly catchy feel that's bound to make you pay for any mistakes on edge. Plus, the subtle rocker enhances float, allowing you to ride powder without burning up your back leg. Engineered with EcoUnreal Construction, the MullAir features a strong and snappy FSC-certified aspen core, Bio Beans topsheet, and recycled UHMW sidewalls for high levels of durability. Cellulose bio fibers are renewable for low environmental impact, with Low VOC epoxy resin for plenty of snap. Additionally, you'll find Mini Magne-Traction edges with subtle serrations for locked-in edge hold across widely varying snow conditions, ranging from soft groomers to steep, iced-over chutes.
Gnu welcomes Nicolas Müller! Nicolas worked with the Gnu design crew to develop his environmentally friendly directional dream stick. The MÜLLAIR hangs methods to the moon, nose butters for kilometers, blows up powder muffins and rips the hardpack in both directions. Environmentally built with recycled UHMW sidewalls, bio beans top material, renewable cellulose bio fibers, low VOC epoxy resin and an FSC certified aspen core. Grab in front of the bindings and feel and look Unreal doing it.

Set up That I can't keep up with

There have been so many DOPE set ups that have gone out this week. My slackness has brought NONE of them to the blog. You would think that I should give all my time to this page, but at this time I am slacking. Today alone I saw a skate banana and a skunk ape go out with electric lime binders, and I got no shot. I saw 2 capita's leave the store .... noo shot. I need to work harder not smarter. Sorry.. Here are 2 from the archives (last week) that went out. Above is a ruckus with some bent metals and below is a custom binder on a park pickle.
Stop in soon, as all the boards alpine has are quickly leaving the store.

The Park Pickle from GNU with PTX

Then green machine is back. Gnu's world famous park pickle is back on the shelves at Alpine. You may remember this deck last season as it was a mid season release. It was only offered in a 156 last season. Now it is available in all sizes.
GNU took the ever popular skate banana and added a steeper sidecut on the backside edge. You may remember Santa Cruz doing this on snowboards a few seasons ago. It allows the rider an easier transition onto the heel making it easier to ride switch and to spin into tricks. So don't buy it just because it looks sick.
Pickle technology (PTX). Ask for it at Alpine!

Gnu Park Pickle 09

I must say that I like getting my info direct from the rep and feeding it out, not the other way around. I heard of this deck a couple of months ago from my rep. I kind of forgot about it until I saw it on Shay's blog post. I called my rep immediately and told him I needed this deck. He was allotted 50 to sell along the east coast. I was able to procure 4 of them. They will only be coming in one size, that is a 156. Since it's BTX, it can be ridden a little smaller.

This board will also utilize a steeper side cut on its backside edge; something Santa Cruz has been using in its twins for years. This board should be in before the first of the year. I will keep everyone posted.

Gnu 11-Up Magnetraction Snowboard

Big footed fellows need boards too. That is the Mantra behind the 11-up. Coming with Magne-traction, this deck is seriously off the charts. With a geat freeride flex, this deck can do it all. Whether it's hitting the steeps or playing around in the park, the 11-up will not disappoint. Comes in 3 great sizes (158,162,166). This years graphic has a matte grey finish and a simple design anyone can love. Alpine does have 1-162 in a black gloss finish. Only a few of this colorway were made.

Gnu Danny Kass Magne-Traction

The Vertigo series comes back again this season. Orange topsheet with an orange Magnetraction induced sidewall. This board is twin tip perfection. Danny likes the altered genetics AG 2 core, and he puts GNU's fastest sintered 9900 base on this deck. Definately a show stopper. This deck is sick.
