Demo Days at Whitetail resort this Friday

That's right. This upcoming Friday at Whitetail resort in Pennsylvania Alpine will be teaming up with Ski Center in DC to Co Host the first Consumer Demo day of the season. Stop by any Alpine or ski center location and pick up your voucher for $30 Lift tickets. Registration starts at 8 am. Bring a credit card and your drivers license. Demo will start s soon as the lifts open and end at 3pm. This is a great time to get out and take a snow day. Please call the store with any questions. Look forward to seeing you on the hill.

"White Friday" weekend is upon us.

Well here it is. The "White Friday" weekend is upon us already. This year, alpine has put together some super fun sales for you. Nordica Transfire R1 Ladies Sneak Peek 2013

Yes ladies, a ripping boot with a 102 last is on slate for next season. The transfire line will be replacing the hot rod series and will be a welcome new addition with new colors and only 3 buckles. The 102 last is nice and comfortable and this model has a firm flex for the performance skier. Stay tuned for more on Transfire boots.

Set up of the Minute with Susan

Susan came into the shop looking for a great deal on a ski setup for the upcoming seasons. Even though she “grew up” skiing at Killington, it has been YEARS since she had purchased skis for her very own (there was talk of wooden skis and bindings with leashes on them). She had been renting/demoing the last couple times out and decided it was time to take the plunge and get some gear for her very own. Taking advantage of the 2010 gear and 40% off pricing, Susan is now ready to hit the slopes with her Nordica Sportmachine 65 boots and Salomon Origins Topaz skis (with matching Origins poles, natch). After “Snowmageddon 2010”, there’s also talk of Cross-Country gear in her future, so she’ll be all ready for whatever Winter 2011 brings us.

Chris Got some new Boots (ace of Spades)

Thanks to our friendly Nordica rep (Senor Decker), I am the proud owner of a brand new pair of Nordica Ace of spades ski boots. So this being the first pair in the store I took some customer and friend re actions.

Nordica Ace of Spades Release preview 2010

The rumors are true. Nordica is doing a mid season launch of it's new freeride boots. These will be available in a extremely limited quantity at select shops across the country.
The 3 buckle design is extremely popular right now, as it makes the boot much lighter and it's much easier on and off. This design was first made popular with the raichle flex on series in the 80's (which has evolved into full tilt today). We have also see dalbello experience some success with their 3 buckle as well. The model rory is holding below will be the premiere model. We will be seeing 3 mens and 3 ladies models and there will be some more muted colors. Stay Tuned....

Nordica Hot Rod 95 2010

The hot Rod Series of boots from Nordica is at Alpine and they are awesome. The 95 has a 100mm ball of foot and a 95 flex. It takes off from where the "Beast" boots left off. Super comfortable right out of the box. The break in time on this model is minimal. The liner boasts "Man Fur" around the calf to give it that extra cushy feeling. But this boot is all about performance. It also has a full shock eraser in the heel to dampen all of those pesky vibrations that come from flying down the hill.
A good boot is the most important part of your skiing experience. Let alpines staff find the perfect boot to make your ski day excellent.

Nordica Speed Machine 110 2010

"Where's the beef", You ask? Well look no further than right here. the Nordica Speed machine 110. This boot has all the "Beef" you may need, and some comfort too! The speed Machine line of boots are super comfortable, and have a ton of performance built into them. With a 110 flex and a fully heat moldable liner, this boot is great for the advanced skier looking for a boot to help them enjoy the whole mountain.

Kids need good ski boots too. So Alpine is now offering the Nordica Super Charger Jr boot for those kids who need a little bit more power under foot. It is a standard four buckle with a great liner which has the ever popular "Fur" lined upper. Available in small sizes only and sells at $199. Great translucent shell.

Wow is all I can say. This Boot ROCKS! At $349 this boot has it all. It reminds me of the beast boot with a softer flex (70). The man fur at the cuff is extremely comfortable and the toe box is generous. If you want a boot with both performance and comfort, this is the one!. All metal micro adjustable buckles and the easy slide in feature make this one of my favorites.

Nordica super Charger Spark

This Orange is amazing-the fit is incredible. Nordica did a great job on this line of boots. Limited sizes in stock. The fur liner is as comfortable as it looks and all the buckles are metal micro adjustable.

Nordica Super Charger Ski Boot

Don't buy it because it's green! Seriously people, this is a lot of boot. Disregard the color and look at the facts. We know it has a fur lined collar with tons of padding. We know it has the famous beast 101mm last. We even know that it has the twin driver energy driver strap by Booster. This is a serious boot with tons of comfort. YES, I did say comfort. Who knew the 2 went well together? Nordica did this boot right.
And Yes, I am skiing in this boot this season. Maybe because it's green. I do love green. It reminds me of a lifesaver, don't ya think?

Nordica Speed Machine 8 Mens

The Speed Machine 8 was overlooked by Alpine last season, and I am still kicking myself. This boots fit is incredible. It has a flex index of 100, Full micro- adjustable buckles, a big beefy power strap, and the salt and pepper colorway is great. This is a perfect mid to upper level performance boot. Treat your feet right this ski season. Boots do not have to be uncomfortable, and Nordica definitely proves that with this speed machine.

Nordica Olympia Beast 10

Nordica brings this boot back for yet another season. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", definately applies to this boot. Ehen I first heard that Nordica was going to name a womens performance boot the "BEAST", I thought no woman in her right mind would want it. Chalk one up for Nordica. They were right on this one. Again coming with the BOOSTER strap, and the comfort fit liner, this boots fit is amazing. This years blue translucent polyether shell is also a nice touch to a well fitting performance boot.
